The Asanda Jacket by Sindiso Khumalo has long sleeves, an oversized ruffle collar and two crocheted patch pockets. This piece was handmade by female artisans in Burkina Faso using Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) cotton. BCI cotton is produced with consideration of the environment and the wellbeing of the workers. The hand crocheted pockets were made by female workers in collaboration with NGO Embrace Dignity.

ABOUT SINDISO KHUMALO
Sindiso Khumalo is a sustainable textile designer based in South Africa. Inspired by her Zulu and Ndebele heritage, the 2020 LVMH Prize joint recipient founded her eponymous label with a focus on African storytelling, craftsmanship and empowerment.
