- Description
Originating from East Africa, the Maasai cloth holds a rich cultural history in Maasai communities. While the origin of the cloth is highly debated, one school of thought traces Maasai's iconic check print to Scottish missionaries with its strong resemblance to Scottish plaid or tartan patterns. Endelea's Masai collection is made in collaboration with the Maasai Intellectual Property Initiative to protect and preserve this cultural heritage. Maasai cloth comes in a variety of colours, all holding cultural significance. This broad vest comes in green Maasai checkered print, linked to life-giving nature.
